I spent days looking for the best writing app because I had accidentally deleted one of my others and lost everything and when I found this app i wasnt going to buy it but I did and it was worth every cent. I use this app more than any other app on my ipad! It is amazing and has no glitches, it doesnt freeze and it does everything it says it does. Best app ever made! You will NOT regret buying it!

I like this app very much. It seems very useful and well thought. I have some enhancement requests: 1.) A SCENE category for those times when you have written a piece for your story, but you are not sure where it will fall in with the rest of the story. 2.) iCloud synchronization. 3.) Allow the attributes inside Characters, Places, and Items to be configurable. 4.) Provide a search and replace function. Do these and youve really got something here.

I like the attractive and functional design and find that I write more since Ive had this app. The only reason I didnt give it five stars is that I would like a nonfiction option, which I have communicated to the developer. He is very responsive to email. I do use the app to write nonfiction as well as fiction but the project gets listed as a novel. Very pleased with this purchase!

I am currently working on a couple of writing projects, and this app has helped me organize characters and plots.

I started my first project and find the app very easy to use. It is pre-set for novels and stories so naturally the first thing that Im putting together is an instruction manual and I have to adapt the novel format, but its really not a problem. Ive only got two days of doodling an outline and filling in the sections as I clarify my ideas but so far it works pretty much the way I need it to. If I find problems or write a major best seller Ill revise this accordingly. The four stars are cautionary since I havent yet spent a lot of time with it but so far everything works as expected. I went back and forth for several days on what app to buy. I initially purchased another app and immediately regretted it because it did not function properly to say the least. I then purchased the Writers App and the Writing App. I contacted the developer with a couple basic questions and received a response in no time! I am extremely impressed and pleased with these apps. They are very user friendly and do not freeze up or become glitchy. Looking back through other reviews, here are some things I agree with and would love to see in future updates: scene category, iCloud syncing, how many pages have been written; also would love to have the option to add fields in areas such as characters and places. Thanks for such a great set up, app support, and cant wait to see whats to come.

I really like this app so far. I like how it is keeping me organized. I have started writing a book today and I am feeling good about my progress. One thing, please add a password lock option. I want my work to be private.

Wonderful design, simple to use yet able to master. The best of any writing apps for the iPad Ive ever seen. An attractive interface blended with the organization I need as a writer. My only request would be some sort of method for outlining a story and planning out a series of events. Other than that, grade A stuff

The very best writing app ever! Way better then any of the paid ones. Love the character part which is what Ive been looking for. I still cant believe its free!

I gave this 5 stars because it is a great app and incredibly useful. Some other reviewers have already noted some options that should be added to make it even better, I would also like to see an option to upload pictures for any hand drawn items (maps for instance). That way all the information can still be in the same spot. But great app and worth every cent!

None of the notes on Characters or the general notes get sent to dorpbox. Good app, but its vital to be able to back your work up.

Cant do anything beyond what any basic word processing app out there can do. A bit pathetic, actually. The text in each chapter did not load into my Dropbox. Heres all I got in uploading a chapter: "Hello" - Garden". So, I thought: maybe, I should open it in QuickOffice. Nothing—just a blank page with Hello" - Garden on it.

This is an okay app for outline and making notes, but not for a main writing app. There is no undo if you accidentally erase something. I have never gotten it to work with Dropbox and when I try to email it as an attachment the only thing there is the title of the document. If you are looking for a robust writing app this isnt it.

But, there is no import if you may have another device like an additional iPad, and want to import the story in youre other device in the writing app. And a few more options for the characters would be great also, but the import option would be the best. This app is excellent if your looking to get your ideas for stories out. My only problem is the new look, I prefer the previous non IOS 7y looking one before the update otherwise its a great app.

I have been using the app for a week now and I enjoy its features. However, the reason for the low rating is that I have not been able to get it to upload to dropbox (or any other export). This is clearly unacceptable as it makes the writing unaccessible. If this is fixed, I will revise my rating.

It crashed when i was writing. Everything is gone, everything. And apparently Dropbox no longer works? So I have no updated backups of what I was working on. Everything. Is. Gone.

This app is worth every penny. For it’s price, this app is much more user friendly and reliable than it’s counter parts. When a problem, albeit a very small one, arose, Thomas returned my e-mail the next morning, unlike most apps I will never see a personal response. In short, unless you wanna pay $30 for a super pro app, this app has everything you need.

I absolutely loved this app! It helps organize my thoughts, sort my characters, and make a story better! Absolutely wonderful app to writers! 5 stars well earned!

Just downloaded it and so far so good and happy ;)
